Think you are too old to start a career? I am 55 years old and at the beginning of this year I decided it was time to leave my full-time paid employment and pursue a career.
At first, I had no idea what I was going to do. I kept coming across the Life Coaching course on Facebook, through NZIBS. I was curious and even felt excitement when I read these posts, but still kept scrolling past them, “who am I to think I can help anyone”, and “I can’t do this”, was the voice inside my head. I knew there was a reason these posts kept coming up for me, my intuition was screaming at me – do it. I can tell you this was the best decision of my life.
I found the course to be informative and it had all the tools I needed to be a successful life coach. I graduated with merit in August, and I am so grateful to NZIBS for providing this course. I now know what I meant to be doing with my life and I have finally found my passion. This course helped me to be able to hone my communication skills and I am putting them to use as we speak. I have 6 volunteer clients and I am opening my business soon.
This is what one of my clients had to say about me: Why did I choose a life coach.
My life needed guidance. Finding Joanne was the best decision for me. She didn’t solve my concerns but gave me the tools to solve my own problems. My life has changed dramatically always reverting to the affirmation cards she gave me. I feel a sense of freedom from the debilitating thoughts and feelings I have always lived with. I have tried different workshop groups but working with Joanne has been the most beneficial to me. Her personal experiences and relaxed but professional attitude was so reassuring.
